Through our programs, students are given the technology, skills, and knowledge to be effective members of our school community and a global society.

MSCP is part of the STEM Prep family of schools, which is committed to disrupting the status quo of inequitable access to high quality STEM pathways for women and minorities by cultivating a family of students and staff who solve problems through collaboration, innovation, passion, and perseverance.

Welcome back to a new school year! I am happy to be serving you as the principal of Math and Science College Preparatory. We look forward to a great school year full of academics and extracurricular activities. Our vision at MSCP is to create students who will transform their community by closing the socio-economic, ethnic, and gender gaps in STEM fields, and serving as role models who exhibit scholarliness, advocacy, perseverance, and kindness. It is my promise to inspire these ambitions in your child.

Throughout the year we will be holding a variety of parent events, workshops, and meetings to give you opportunities to be involved in your child’s school.  We will be sending more information and dates with each monthly newsletter, we would love to see you! Together, as a community and family, we will make this school and your child’s future a success.

Sincerely,

Bernice Avanceña
